These Terms govern your use of Community Brain, a collective-memory AI service for communities. Selecting Accept & enter accepts this version; if you do not accept it, sign out.

1. What Community Brain is

Community Brain gives a community a shared brain. You talk to an AI agent by chat or voice; it remembers your conversations and uses that to surface people worth meeting, events worth attending and what the community already knows. The agent is software, not a human: it can be wrong, incomplete or confidently misleading. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions.

2. What happens to what you tell it

Your chat messages and voice transcripts are stored. From them Community Brain derives private memory, which only you and your own agent see, and collective memory, which your community can see and which can carry your name.

Settings → Privacy holds a collective memory privacy prompt — your own words telling the system what should stay private. It steers a language model rather than a deterministic filter, so treat it as a strong preference, not a lock. Do not give the agent passwords, financial or government identifiers, confidential material, sensitive personal data such as health or beliefs, or things about other people that are not yours to share.

3. Being findable by your community

A new membership starts hidden. Accepting these Terms makes your profile, bio, matchmaking entry and map position available to other members of that community; you can switch that off again in Settings at any time.

Hiding is immediate for future reads, but it is not deletion — your material stays intact and you can switch back at any time. It cannot recall a match card, introduction, message or email already delivered to someone, and community summaries built partly from your contributions may need a rebuild cycle before they are clean. Deletion is a separate and irreversible choice; see section 7.

4. Your responsibilities

Use Community Brain lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass or impersonate people, disrupt or probe the service, run automated or abusive traffic, bypass access controls, or upload content you have no right to use. You are responsible for what you write and for the instructions you give the agent.

5. Connected tools and introductions

Where your community enables them, the agent can perform real actions — creating a calendar event, sending an email, opening an introduction. Review consequential actions and their recipients before confirming. Matchmaking output never contains your raw email address; a contact detail you publish on your profile is governed by that setting.

6. Beta, availability and liability

Community Brain is beta and provided as-available: features change, break and are interrupted. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited; beyond that, and so far as the law allows, Community Brain is not liable for indirect loss caused by relying on AI output or by a service interruption.

7. Leaving, and data requests

You can stop using the service and hide yourself at any time, and hiding deletes nothing.

Deleting your data is a separate, irreversible choice, offered per community in that community's Login settings. It permanently deletes your conversations with that community's agent, the notes its brain took about you, your profile there, your settings and your membership. There is no grace period and no restore. Your other communities and your sign-in account are untouched; deleting the sign-in account itself runs the same deletion everywhere you were. General facts you contributed about a community stay in that community's brain with your name removed — you own what the brain recorded about you, not the collective knowledge you added to it. The Privacy Notice sets out exactly what is and is not reached.

For anything else — access, correction, export, objection, restriction, or a deletion you cannot perform yourself — email xandersteenbruggex@gmail.com or your community organiser, and the request is assessed under applicable law. Acceptance evidence, security records and material already delivered to others are treated separately.

8. Changes and contact

A significant change to these Terms requires a fresh acceptance before member-only use resumes; earlier acceptance records are kept as evidence, never overwritten. Questions: xandersteenbruggex@gmail.com, or the organiser who invited you.
